If France are to become a world force again, new coach Fabian Galthie and Edwards must conjure up the chemistry and close working partnership that Edwards enjoyed with Warren Gatland for 16 years with Wasps and Wales.

The moment Galthie was appointed, he lasered in on Edwards and would not take no for an answer. As an Englishman I am almost speechless in frustration that nobody at Twickenham seemed to have the authority or desire to act more decisively.
